I want to make your life easier. My goal as a lawyer (admitted in MA and NH) is to help companies and individuals navigate the world of employment law. If you have a business, you don't want to worry about whether you are meeting all state and federal employment laws. You want to run a successful business. I can help. If you want to create policies that reward and retain talented employees, I can help. If you have to address an emergency, investigate misconduct, improve an employee's performance, or terminate someone, I will walk with you and help. For individuals, I can help you understand your rights before you sign an employment contract, non-compete/non-solicitation agreement, or a severance agreement.
After graduating from Boston College Law School, I worked for two years in the New Hampshire Superior Courts clerking for the judges and learning the ins and outs of trial work. After that I practiced professional malpractice defense and employment law with Peabody & Arnold. After three years in a firm, I went in-house as an employment lawyer and litigator for the Boston Police Department (6 years) and then in-house with the Massachusetts Port Authority (9 years) as an employment lawyer advising HR on a daily basis. Since 2013, I have been working in my own practice advising individuals and companies on employment law and HR compliance.
